Thai restaurant Buddha Garden is in a listed villa in the centre of Apeldoorn. A municipal monument that, after years empty, found a new purpose.
Pau & Lodewijk
Master chef Pau Srisukyai was one of the first Thai chefs in the east of the Netherlands. In 1994 she opened Thai restaurant Salathai in Arnhem. In 2011 she opened My Asia in Wageningen, where she began working with Lodewijk Schulte. After a period in Thailand, Pau and Lodewijk opened Buddha Garden in the summer of 2017.
Pau Srisukyai cooks Thai dishes with a team of Thai chefs, with much love and knowledge. All the classics, such as red curry and Pad Kaprouw, or chicken with cashew nuts and Som Tam. Tom Kha is a recommendation for both newcomers and those already at home in Thai cooking. Now and then we surprise with new combinations.
Many of our people have worked here since the opening. Chefs Tum and On and host Rob are familiar faces to many of our guests. It is a pleasant house, kind guests, a good team and a beautiful setting.

With friends, partners, family or colleagues. We hope to give you evenings you remember — and if you prefer to eat at home, you simply collect the dishes. For a larger party or something to celebrate, we think along, in the house or on location.
